1. Who we are

Repgroove (“Repgroove,” “we,” “us”) is a coaching service for physical skills operated by Early Forge Venture Studio LLC (“Early Forge”), the studio behind earlyforgestudios.com. Early Forge Venture Studio LLC is the data controller for personal data processed through Repgroove. This policy covers the Repgroove website and app.

2. What we collect

Account data. Your email address (sign-in is passwordless, so email is the account), the display name you choose, whether you joined as a player or coach, your coach code, and the coach code you joined with, if any.
Intake and training data. Your answers to each skill's intake (for example your level, how often you train, your dominant hand or side, your goal and self-ratings), your plan, and the sessions you log: reps, results, drill completion, self-checks and any notes you write.
Pose data from video. When you record or upload a clip, pose estimation runs on your device and the video itself is not uploaded. We receive the pose data (the positions of 33 body points over time, with the clip's size and frame rate) and one still frame from the clip, scaled down. That still frame is a normal photo, so it shows whatever was in shot, including your face and surroundings. We store both privately and use them to produce your analysis: phases, measurements, faults and feedback.
Billing data. When billing is active, Stripe handles your payment details. We receive your subscription status, trial and renewal dates, and Stripe customer and subscription references. We never see or store card numbers.
Usage and device data. Pages and features used, IP address, browser and device type, and similar logs kept by our hosting and database providers.
Communications. Emails you send us.

3. How we use your information

To coach you: build your plan, analyse your clips, pick your one fault and drill, track your trend, and show your coach your progress if you joined with a coach code.
To send service emails: sign-in links and codes, your plan when you enroll, and a weekly progress email. You can turn the weekly email off in Settings. Sign-in email is always sent when you ask for it.
To run AI feedback: see section 5.
To improve Repgroove: we review samples of feedback and whether the flagged fault shrank by your next clip, to measure and improve our packs, rules and models. We use pose data and measurements for this in de-identified form where we can.
To process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure and debug the service.
Marketing, only with your permission. We do not send marketing email today. If we start, we will ask first, and every message will include an unsubscribe link.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): your account, plan, analyses, coach link, service emails and billing.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): analytics and marketing cookies and any marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, fraud prevention, essential logs, and improving our coaching quality as described above. You may object at any time.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): tax and accounting records.

Repgroove does not use pose data or still frames to identify you, and we do not create face or body templates for recognition.

5. AI models

To write your feedback, Repgroove sends the measurements from your clip (phases, angles, flagged faults and their sizes), your skill level, your current focus fault and the coach-written cues for your skill to AI models through Vercel AI Gateway, with a pseudonymous account ID. We do not send your name, email, video, still frames or raw pose data to these models. The models we use are chosen for cost and quality and may change; they currently include models developed by DeepSeek, Alibaba (Qwen), Zhipu (GLM) and Moonshot (Kimi), and may be served by providers in the United States or other countries, including China. Inputs and outputs of each call are logged privately so we can check quality.

6. Your coach

If you join with a coach code, that coach sees your display name (or the part of your email before the “@” if you haven't set one), whether you're on a trial or a paid membership, which skills you're working on, your current focus fault and how its size is trending, and the dates of your sessions. They do not see your email address, billing details, intake answers, session notes, self-ratings, pose data or still frames. Join without a code, or ask us to unlink you, if you don't want to share even this.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies keep you signed in (Supabase auth session). Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage. These are strictly necessary and always on.
Analytics and marketing cookies (including third-party pixels and tags) are set only after you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, never before and never if you choose “Essential only.” We don't use any today.
Changing your mind is one click: “Cookie preferences” in the footer reopens the banner.
When you use the camera or upload a clip, your browser downloads the pose model file from Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.

Service providers (processors): hosting (Vercel), database, storage and sign-in (Supabase), email (Resend), payments (Stripe), AI models via Vercel AI Gateway (section 5), and Google for the pose model download. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function.
Your coach, if you joined with their code (section 6).
Within Early Forge, which operates Repgroove and other products.
Legal: when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information. If we ever share data with advertising platforms, which some U.S. state laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing,” it will only be with your consent, and you can opt out by declining marketing cookies or emailing us at info@earlyforgestudios.com.

9. International transfers

We are a U.S. company and our providers process data primarily in the United States. If you use Repgroove from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the U.S., and AI requests may be processed in other countries (section 5). Our providers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request details at info@earlyforgestudios.com.

10. Data retention

We keep your account, training data, pose data and still frames while your account exists. Billing records are kept as tax law requires (typically 7 years). AI call logs are kept while they are useful for quality checks and are unlinked from your account when it is deleted. Provider logs follow their rolling windows (typically 30–90 days). When you delete your account we delete or anonymize personal data we are not required to keep.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

access a copy of your data (Art. 15). Settings has an “Export my data” download, and we can send the rest on request;
correct inaccurate data (Art. 16);
delete your data and account (Art. 17), by emailing us;
restrict processing (Art. 18) and receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time (Art. 21);
withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (Art. 7(3));
complain to your local supervisory authority (for the EEA see the EDPB member list; for the UK, the ICO).

To exercise these rights, email info@earlyforgestudios.com. We respond to verified requests within one month. We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

12. Children

Repgroove is not for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 16 has an account, email us and we will delete it.

13. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, pose data and still frames are stored in a private bucket, and database access is restricted per account. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at info@earlyforgestudios.com if you find a problem.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Repgroove evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where a change relies on your consent we will ask for it rather than assume it.
